Welcome to AllState Publishers. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, services, and any agreements made between you (“the Client”) and AllState Publishers (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our services.
1. Scope of Services
AllState Publishers offers a comprehensive range of non-traditional book publishing services. These include ghostwriting, manuscript evaluation, editing, proofreading, book formatting, custom cover design, ISBN and barcode services, KDP and global distribution setup, author branding, book marketing, and promotional strategy. We also offer audiobook creation and press release writing. We act as an independent service provider rather than a traditional publisher, and the rights to your work remain with you unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Client Obligations
As a client, you are expected to provide accurate and complete project materials including manuscripts, outlines, and other relevant content. You agree to maintain responsive communication and provide timely approvals and feedback. It is your responsibility to ensure that delays caused by your inaction do not affect the timeline or quality of deliverables. We are not liable for delays due to lack of response or incomplete inputs.
3. Intellectual Property and Copyrights
All intellectual property rights, including copyrights, belong to the client upon full payment. Ghostwritten content is treated as “work-for-hire,” meaning you retain full ownership and authorship. We do not claim any rights or royalties from the work created for you. With your consent, we may showcase anonymized versions of your work as part of our portfolio. This is entirely optional and requires your written approval.
4. Payment Terms
All services require a non-refundable deposit to begin. The remaining amount is due based on milestone completion or mutually agreed payment terms. Payments must be made promptly upon invoice. We reserve the right to suspend services or withhold deliverables in the event of delayed payments. Late fees or interest may apply on overdue invoices.
5. Refund Policy
Our refund policy is straightforward. Once a project has been completed and all agreed-upon deliverables have been sent, you are no longer eligible for a refund. If you are dissatisfied during the project, you must communicate with us and fill out a Refund Request Form. Disputes initiated directly with your bank or payment provider without first engaging our process are considered a violation of these terms. If a refund is approved, it will be processed within 90 to 120 working days. Refunds, if granted, will only apply to the unused portion of the service and will exclude fees for completed work.
6. Revision Policy
Each service package includes a limited number of revision rounds—usually one or two. You must request revisions within seven days of receiving the deliverables. Requests falling outside the scope of the original agreement, such as significant structural changes or genre shifts, may incur additional charges. After final approval is given, further changes will not be entertained unless a new agreement is made.
7. Turnaround Time and Project Delays
Delivery timelines are discussed at the start of each project and depend on service type and complexity. Delays from our side due to illness or technical issues will be communicated promptly. However, we are not responsible for delays caused by late approvals or missing inputs from your end.
8. Confidentiality
All information, drafts, and personal details shared with AllState Publishers are held in strict confidence. We do not share, sell, or disclose your content or identity without your explicit consent. Our team members and contractors are bound by confidentiality agreements to ensure the safety of your intellectual property.
9. Third-Party Platform Disclaimer
We often publish your work through third-party platforms such as Amazon KDP, Google Books, or Barnes & Noble. While we manage setup and metadata optimization, we do not control these platforms’ policies, algorithms, or timelines. Any issues specific to these platforms must be addressed directly with them.
10. Marketing and Promotional Services
Book marketing and promotional services are customized for your audience and genre. We do not guarantee specific results such as bestseller status or a particular sales number. Marketing outcomes are affected by market trends, timing, reader demand, and other external variables.
11. Termination of Services
Either party may terminate the agreement in writing. If you choose to cancel the service, we will invoice you for the work completed up to that point. All materials developed until termination will be delivered after final payment is received.
12. Limitation of Liability
AllState Publishers is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability will not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific service. Additionally, we are not responsible for legal issues that may arise from your content, such as libel, plagiarism, or defamation claims.
13. Modifications to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time, with or without notice. You are encouraged to review this page periodically. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and any disputes arising under them shall be governed by the laws of the United States, without reference to any specific state’s jurisdiction.
